Cheesy Casserole Potatoes

This recipe is the ultimate no-fail potato casserole recipe that everyone loves!

  • ½ cup butter
  • 2 pound package frozen hash browns
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • ½ cup diced onions
  • 1 tsp sale and 1 tsp pepper
  • 2 cups grated cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups bread crumbs

Melt butter (reserve 1/4 cup). Combine 1/4 cup of the melted butter with sour cream, soup, onions, cheese, salt and pepper in a large bowl. Add hash browns and mix together. Pat into a 13×9 baking dish. Combine the remaining 1/4 cup of margarine with the breadcrumbs and spread on top. Bake at 350 for 40 minutes.
